THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED FOR ALL WATER SERVICE:

$15.00 SERVICE CHARGE TO READ THE METER IN/OUT.
$75.00 DEPOSIT (DEPOSIT IS WAIVED FOR HOMEOWNER WITH A FILED COPY OF DEED.)

IF SEWER SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE, A COPY OF “PERK” TEST (Available through the
health department at no charge) MUST BE PROVIDED TO ENSURE A PROPER SEPTIC SYSTEM.

IN-TOWN WATER TAP FEE:          $  175.00
RURAL TAP FEE:                           $  500.00 (5/8” METER)  Guidelines for laying larger lines are available.

Billing Information

Bills are mailed around the first of each month, and a 10% penalty is charged if the total bill is not paid by the 10th of the month. If the total bill is not paid by the 25th, service is subject to disconnect and a $50 reconnect fee plus a $15 service charge will be charged per meter.

WATER & SEWER RATES (Effective August 1, 2007)

Gore city residences & businesses are charged the following monthly rates for water.

First 1,000 gallons                                                       $11.00 (minimum)
Next 4,000 gallons                                                       $2.00 per thousand gallons
Remainder (all gallons over 5,000)                              $2.05 per thousand gallons

Gore city residences and businesses are charged the following monthly rates for sewage/disposal of wastewater.

Remainder                                                                    $1.00 per thousand gallons

Rural customers are charged the following monthly rates for water.

First 1,000 gallons                                                        $15.00 (minimum)
Remainder                                                                    $2.50 per thousand gallons

Rural customers (where applicable) are charged the following monthly rates for sewage/disposal of wastewater.

Gore Public Works:

• Has 680 active meters--80 of which are commercial accounts
• Processes 4.8 million gallons of water each month
• Adds 10 new meters per year
• Provides an average of 3,920 gallons to each customer
• Maintains approximately 45 miles of water lines and a similar amount of sewer lines
