Events

Town & Gore Public Works Council Meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.

Regular events:

Spring  – Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Saturday, 11 a.m., Ray Fine Park

May – Semi-annual, town-wide clean-up day. Details & list of acceptable / unacceptable items available at city hall.

July 4 – Annual Fireworks Display (Lake Tenkiller)

August  – Classes Begin (Gore Public Schools)

September – Annual Gore Cruise Night, Car Show and Burnout

September (last full weekend, Fri-Sun) – Annual Fin & Feather Arts & Crafts Festival

October Day at the Park: Fun, free events at Ray Fine Park.

October – Semi-annual, town-wide clean-up day. Details & list of acceptable / unacceptable items available at city hall.

December  (2nd Saturday) – 11 a.m. Annual Christmas Parade followed by Christmas at the Park (Ray Fine Park)

Projects

Hwy 10 Sewer Upgrade
Project Description:
Upgrade the existing 600’ of 4” line to 6” line.  Paid through grant funding.
Status: COMPLETED

Gore Landing Park Upgrades
Project Description:
Clearing brush from roadway right-of-way, clearing shoreline of ground level brush, clearing island of ground level brush and briars.  Installation of a walk-way, foot bridge and upgraded 50 amp services for several RV locations.  Future upgrades may include playground equipment and a basketball court.
Status: COMPLETED

Gore Water Treatment Plant
Project Description:
Sand, repair, and repaint necessary piping and instrumentation.
Status: COMPLETED

Gore Wastewater Treatment Plant
Project Description:
Removal of 40 years of sludge.  Consent order issued by ODEQ requires Gore to minimize sludge content to decrease effluent pollutant concentrations.
Status: COMPLETED

Hwy 10 Water Line Upgrade
Project Description:
Upgrade the existing 4” line to a 6” line from Harps to Latter Day Saints Church, and to Gore High School.  Installation of new fire plugs.  Funded by the LDSC and Town of Gore.
Status: COMPLETED
